Join the fun at the History Museum's plaza and outdoor amphitheater for a Native arts market and festival that features products from a variety of artisans. Festival visitors can watch demonstrations of traditional artwork from the best Northwest carvers, printmakers, weavers and bead artists. Visitors can also experience Native cultures by sampling Native foods and taking in live performances by dancers, musicians and storytellers from local tribes.

While at the festival, visitors may also catch a screening of the docu-drama "Shadow of the Salmon" on Saturday, June 28 at 5:00 PM. The film tells the story of a young man from the Lakota Nation who visits the Pacific Northwest. While here, he learns much about salmon, the Northwest environment and the relationship between the tribes and the environment. Tickets are $3, or free with museum admission. "Shadow of the Salmon" is presented by Three Sixty Productions in association with Northwest Straits Commission, The Potlatch Foundation, Salmon Defense and Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission.
